What origination means
Origination is the path from application to funded deal. It covers intake, credit, pricing, documents, and approval. The software that runs it is called an LOS, short for loan origination system.
ASPIRE covers origination and servicing together. The vendor emphasizes accuracy and speed. That is a vendor claim. Test it with a live deal in the demo.
The re-keying test
Count how many times a person types the same customer name between application and funding. Each re-type costs minutes and invites errors.
Use the tool below with your own numbers. Enter deals per month, minutes of re-typing per deal, and your loaded hourly cost. Loaded cost means wage plus benefits and overhead.
Demo checks
- Submit an application the way your team would.
- Show the credit step and who can override.
- Generate contract documents from deal data.
- Fund the deal and show it in servicing with no re-entry.
A scenario, not a promise
Example: a lender funds 80 deals a month. Staff re-key each deal once at 7 minutes each. That is about 9 hours a month. At $38 loaded hourly cost, that is roughly $355 a month. Your numbers will differ. This scenario is ours, not an LTi result.
The broker intake angle
Many LTi customers take deals from brokers and dealers. Intake quality shapes everything downstream.
Ask how applications arrive: portal, email, or both. Ask what a broker sees after submitting. Clean intake is the cheapest credit improvement you can buy.
Also test a deal with a guarantor or a second applicant. Equipment deals often carry more than one name, and a weak system makes you open a second application instead of linking both parties to one file.

Manual re-keying cost
Count how many records your team re-types each month and how long each takes. Loaded hourly cost means wage plus benefits and overhead.
| Hours per month | 10.0 |
| Labor value per month | $350 |
| Rekey labor + software per funded deal | $14.00 |
Cost per deal covers only re-keying labor plus the software line item. It is not a full origination cost.
