Leasepath Review: Equipment Finance CRM on Microsoft Dynamics

A plain-English look at Leasepath for equipment finance lenders. Originate versus Enterprise, the Solifi deal, and demo questions.

What Leasepath is

Leasepath is software for equipment finance built on Microsoft Dynamics and the Power Platform. Dynamics is Microsoft's business software family. If your company already uses Microsoft tools, Leasepath will feel familiar.

The product comes in two main parts. Originate handles the front office: CRM, quoting, credit workflows, documents, and funding. CRM means customer relationship management — tracking people, companies, and deals. Enterprise handles the back office: booking, invoicing, accounting, asset and portfolio management.

The Solifi connection

In July 2025, Solifi announced it acquired Leasepath. Leasepath still runs as a separate product cluster with its own site and its own product names.

For a buyer, this raises a fair question: how will the two product lines come together? Ask the vendor directly. The answer affects your roadmap risk.

The Broker Edition, new in October 2026

On October 21, 2026, Solifi announced the launch of Leasepath Broker Edition. The product page describes a version aimed at broker-only teams of up to 10 users, with CRM, equipment, pricing, document, and funder-submission tracking.

Read the scope carefully: this edition is built for brokers, not for lender servicing. It is not evidence that the edition covers booking, billing, or portfolio management. If you are a lender, Originate and Enterprise remain the relevant products. If you are a broker, this is the first Leasepath edition aimed at you — ask what it costs and what it leaves out.

Who it fits

Leasepath names brokers, independent finance companies, captives, and banks as its audiences. The vendor says 50+ companies worldwide use it. That is a vendor statement. We found no named current client list on the public site, so treat the count as unverified.

The Microsoft foundation is the real dividing line. If your team lives in Outlook, Excel, and Dynamics, Leasepath fits your habits. If your team does not, the foundation is less valuable to you.

Limits and honest questions

We found no public dollar pricing on the checked pages. Expect a custom quote. Also ask about Microsoft licensing. Dynamics-based products can require Microsoft licenses on top of the vendor's price.

Fit by lender profile

Profile one: a lender whose team already lives in Microsoft 365. Leasepath is built on Microsoft Dynamics, so deal emails, quotes and documents can sit inside tools your team already uses. This is the strongest fit.

Profile two: a broker-heavy lender that needs a real pipeline view. Originate is CRM-first, so every open deal, its stage and its owner should be visible. Ask to see a pipeline report by broker.

Profile three: a shop with no Microsoft footprint. The foundation can still work, but license cost and admin skills become real line items. Price them honestly before comparing.

A demo scenario to run

Bring one realistic deal: a broker emails an application for a $60,000 mini excavator. Ask the vendor to log it, work it through the pipeline, generate documents, and book it. Then ask for the handoff to servicing.

Expected outputs: intake logged within your own target time (one minute is an illustrative buyer-set target, not a vendor promise), a pipeline view with the deal's stage and owner, a generated document package, and a funded deal handed to servicing with no re-typing. Time each step.

  • Intake logged within your own target time (for example, under a minute — a buyer-set target, not a vendor promise)
  • Pipeline view with stage and owner
  • Generated document package
  • Funded deal handed to servicing with no re-typing

Implementation, migration and licensing scope

Ask whether Leasepath runs in your Microsoft tenant or the vendor's. That decision changes security reviews, cost and control. Get it in writing early.

Ask which Microsoft licenses you need on top of the vendor's price, and who administers the system after go-live. Since the July 2025 Solifi acquisition, also ask how the product roadmap changed for existing customers.

Our conditional conclusion

If your team lives in Microsoft 365 and you want CRM-first origination, Leasepath belongs on the shortlist. The Dynamics foundation is the clearest reason to choose it.

If you have no Microsoft footprint, price the foundation honestly against other platforms. Decide on the demo scenario above and a written quote, not on any review, including this one.
