Solifi Servicing Workflow: Billing, Payments and Contract Changes

What servicing software should do after funding, how Solifi describes it, and how to judge the payoff.

What servicing means

Servicing is the life of a deal after funding. It means sending bills, posting payments, handling late accounts, and changing contracts when customers ask. It also means end-of-term work like buyouts and returns.

Solifi says its servicing connects billing, payments, contract changes, and end-of-term events in one platform. The vendor claims less manual work and better control. We did not test this.

Why servicing depth matters

Origination touches a deal once. Servicing touches it every month for years. A weak servicing system costs you labor every single month.

This is where Solifi's InfoLease heritage is relevant. Long servicing history usually means edge cases are handled. Ask to see the ugly ones: partial payments, extensions, and early buyouts.

A worked example

Say you service 1,200 contracts. Billing runs take your team two days a month because three reports must be merged by hand. At $40 loaded hourly cost, that is about $1,280 a month in assembly work alone.

If a connected platform cuts that to two hours, the saving is real and measurable. This example is ours, invented to show the math. It is not a Solifi customer result.

Judge the payoff with your numbers

A new servicing system costs money up front and every month. It pays back when it cuts monthly labor or errors. Use the payback tool below with your own estimates.

If the monthly savings do not beat the monthly added cost, there is no payback. The tool will tell you that honestly.

Demo checks for servicing

Bring your three most painful servicing tasks. Ask the vendor to do them live.

  • Post a partial payment and show how it allocates.
  • Change a payment date mid-contract and show the audit trail.
  • Process an early buyout quote.
  • Show a delinquency queue and the actions a collector can take.

Payback check

Payback months = one-time cost divided by monthly savings minus monthly added cost. If savings do not beat the added cost, there is no payback.

Payback in about 40.0 months.

This is your scenario, not a vendor promise.
